The past few days had been very hard for Henry and coming back to Exeter House was a great relief for both his body and soul. He saluted the butler and the servants of the castle in the courtyard and stood on his own on the doorway of the big Entrace Hall, looking with a tempest of strange feelings to the place where he had played so many times alone and with his father. He was now there the only lord of this place but at no point he would have thought this could happen so soon and so unexpectedly.
